Full throttle Cotes du Rhone. This should've been a 'buy by the case' wine but i only bought one. Great QPR. Highly recommended. Will last another 2 years easily if stored properly.

Drink up. Not as good as the earlier bottles.

Superb showing for a very rich , modern rendition of Cotes du Rhone. Perfumed and liqueur-like with a very classy flavour and structure. A knockout with grilled venison loin and roast sweet potatoes. This is also excellent by itself. It did not come across as over-the -yop, although it is clear this is a massive, high alcohol wine. I think it is certainly outstanding due to its layered profile, but it could come across as overbearing to some tasters. Modern …

Very good in a high alcohol herbal style. Complete, but slightly wild. Fun to drink but came across as a bit unbalanced after the Chiantis drunk with the pizzas. Correct in style and out of the ordinary - a fine wine that veers towards a larger than life character.

A North Carolina BBQ with all the trimmings (Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand) : Texbook 2010 Cotes du Rhone - bright and clear raspberry fruit expression. plenty of weight and heat and a wonderful sense of vibrancy in the mouth. A quality wine with ample complexity. An excellent wine for a pulled pork bbq, with all the trimmings.

Vin avec beaucoup de matière de Philippe Cambie. Beaucoup de tannins un peu asséchants mais le potentiel est là!

Sealing from middle of cork, and oxidized badly.

Drunk with grilled lamb chops. this wine delivered a structured, nuanced, yet large scaled mouthful of wine. Plenty of alcohol with a strong powdery tannic structure - this is a serious cotes du Rhone that works well now with grilled meats and might soften and gain further nuance over time (although I think this will always have a tannic personality). Hard to say this is anything other than outstanding, for its style. Not at all over done and in rather …

Nose - some nice warm red fruits and gamey hints but slight alcohol burn. Palate-big wine but unbalanced for me, after the first couple of seconds the alcohol just takes over, very warm and spirity, lots of fruit but its hard to get to.

Good color. The nose is a bit reserved, but shows plenty of ripe strawberry, with hints of pepper, herbs, oak, and minerals. This is medium full bodied on the palate, with good concentration and a fair amount of finesse. The finish features good length with slightly unsophisticated tannins. A very modern style, a bit extracted as well.

I'm a bit mean not calling this outstanding as it is a very fine example of a great year and a Cotes du Rhone that has more tan a hint of serious quality and class about it. Very ripe, blackberry spectrum, great purity. The wine is slightly marred by high alcohol than manifests in a peppery, slightly stalky nose. The mouth holds no complaints - very rich and very drying tannins give a seriously structured wine that has a very …

Ne pas boire au-dessus de 17C. Plein de cassis et de réglisse. Très agréable, et un RQP très bien.

Nose of burned wood, a hint of vegetal, ripe red cherries, speculoos... very powerful black fruit, very nice lenght but a hollow in the mid-palate... very concentrated for a Côtes du Rhone

Having trouble giving this wine 90 points, it has a character but it's a bit too dry for my taste. Color is purpleish red and tannic is high but smooth.

The four bottles were mostly consumed by others at my wife's trunk show. However, my wife tasted enough to report that she liked this.

Approachable though still somewhat primal. Heady floral, melted licorice, kirsch nose and sweet, glyceric entry and middle. Has the fruit and stuffing to be something intriguing when it matures.

Luscious wine with fruity nose and nice finish. 90-91 pts. Great wine at the price.
