Nearly black in the glass, still tannic with loads of fruit, short mid palette but a reasonably long finish. Perfect pairing w grilled steak tips tonite.

Got a lot better after it opened up. Refined dark berries on palate, smooth tanins on finish, sophisticated

For $40.00 there are better wines. Any Ridge Zin for an example would be better.

$50 Napa Red Blend 2019 Stags' Leap Winery The Investor (39% Merlot,32% Petite Sirah, 19% CabSauv, 10% Malbec). Mid-dark garnet, rim variation, viscous (14.0 alc.); ripe grape, red fruit, berry nose; low-mid acids; low-mid tannins; semi-thin red fruit finish. Not terrific for the price. 15.5/89.

Extremely dark - blue/violet. Utterly explosive - smoky and a touch of menthol. Bacon fat and sizzling Belgian waffles. Treacle and peanut butter. Palate very dry and tannic. Needs time. Dry and austere. Good restraint on the sweetness - quite European in fact. Assertive, supremely confident. Time will soften the slightly abrasive tannins.

PnP at neighborhood monthly "uncorked" social getogether. From some of the previous notes I was concerned this would be a bimb, but tirnwd out it was nice. Darker fruit good mix of flsvors form the merlot and malbec. Some smooth tannins, but worked fine a "bigger" cocktail wine and ended up being pretty easy to drink. Not something I would necessarily buy again (due to poor qpr), but was nice to try.

Like others have said - even after an hour or two of air this is a big, dry red that could use a few more years to come together. Grippy tannins, dark fruits, a classic Napa blend

yummy on the nose, and a balanced dry palate, but a bit of a bite on the finish, i think it needs more time in the bottle , I probably would have given it an 89 but i think the potential is there to score higher if left for another year.

Pop & pour on this young Napa red. On the nose, oak and dark fruit. Initial sips followed suit with blueberry, blackberry, oak and subtle vanilla. As this developed, some tobacco and smokey notes came through. Slightly one dimensional and an unremarkable finish. Med+ bodied, surprisingly dry, subdued tannins and waning acidity. This had subdued sugar, which I liked, but seemed somewhat generic. Given the price point, I would sooner enjoy their Cab Sauv. I would pass on this one …

Fruit. Big fruit in the black range, i.e., sugar plum and BlackBerry, Bing cherry. Dark purple, medium acid, medium tannins, very fresh and big fruit. Full bodied mouth feel. Blend of Merlot, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. A good wine if you like big fruit.

A bit young and probably not showing its best yet but definitely a crowd pleaser. Young red fruit. Minimal tannins.

A nice mid range wine. Drank with Thai food and was great.
