Deep garnet. Dark fruits, damsons, figs, prunes nose & palate. This keeps on performing well and was/is amazing value. One bottle left after this, which will no doubt last until 2023.

Plum, blackberry, raspberry, tar, light tannins. Definitely starting to fade. My fault for not opening this back in 2018.

Still good, medium/full bodied. Still 4 bottles in the cellar. I think this will go on drinking well until 2022/3.

Bright, lively, with strawberry and nice acidity. Great value. 90+pts. Held up very well on the 2nd day too - even slightly deeper and more well-rounded.

This wine is super now. 3 years ago I actually disliked it as a short, iron-heavy French bistro wine. Tonight my wife presented it to me blind and I guessed a medium-high-end California Pinot with high extraction. I’m really enjoying it with airplane-cut pan roasted chicken. It’s pure and clear ruby red. Mostly high-pitched red-fruited nose, but also with some tar/asphalt and cinnamon. Deep flavors with a touch of deft oak, I think. Long with low tannin. Really tasty. A …

Raspberry, a hint of licorice, chocolate, and then an herbaceousness as it opens up - on the nose. Its reserved in taste - more cherry than raspberry with a definite spice component at the finish. It rests high in the mouth and feels a little too thin, too tannic and hot to my liking. The structure is not quite right for me. But but but... good QPR and a fine wine to offer guests who aren't too particular.

For 11€ this is a bargain. Easy drinker. Still needs air. Somewhat better on day two.

Surprisingly good. I was not expecting much in light of the numerous reviews here that are not very positive. Yes it was only $12 and you wouldn't know it. Nicely balanced with moderate tannins, acid fruit and just enough residual sweetness, even upon opening. Not terribly complex, of course, but more interesting than most wines under $20, and not beyond the realm of a crowd pleaser. Would go well with a variety of foods, particularly grilled marinated meats and substantive …

Tasted quite nice after opening up in a decanter for 30 minutes to an hour. Notes of raspberries and vanilla.

Not sure what happened! This bottle was quite uninspiring - had almost a slight fizziness, and a very two-dimensional flavor profile more like flat soda pop than wine. Ew. Kind of a why-bother-to-drink-this experience. I won't rate this bottle as it appears to be an exception, and that might be unfair. One bottle left - we'll see if it really has turned the corner or not.

Ripe black fruit with a dash of pepper on the nose. Not complex but shows nice fruit and softgrained gripping tannins. Closes lively with acidity. This is ready to drink. Will pair well with meats and cheeses. Excellent for those evenings where you have guests that are not into wine but you want to serve something decent without breaking the bank. At 11 euro a pop this would certainly fall into that category.

Opened up and tasted better after about 30 minutes of decanting. Notes of strawberry and chocolate. Fairly light and not very viscous. Solid red French wine.

decanted, resolved tannins almost creamy, sticky fruit, for me it's plush carignan, mature, more blackfruit this pull, some old world elegance a little bright, I was quite critical in my 2015 note

was hoping these would mellow out as when popped on first release it was real hard. They have, a little, but with very little improvement. nose slightly brambly, herbacious, peppery. tasting brambly, hard, and rustic. I get some tannin that reminds me of grape leaf/seed/stem tannin or something. Surprised by the scores of the pro critics here. Something is out of wack, even at 11.99

Quality drink at this price point. Bright red fruit overlaying baking spice. A bit disjointed and finished a tad hot. Better with a meal than on its own.
