This is a well-made wine that I’ve enjoyed in the past, but this one is past its peak now. Still very enjoyable, but it’s lost some of its fruity vitality and is now at the threshold of “mature.” Nice tannins and acid are still giving it enough structure to pair well with hearty beef dishes and the like.

Purple color. Fragrant nose of cassis and some menthol. This has good acidity and freshness and no sign of heat. Very polished superfine tannins give this a gorgeous mouthfeel. The finish is a little bit short and hollow.

Very good on first opening. Drank half bottle then vacuum sealed for night. Re-opened and drank second night and was sublime. Incredibly smooth with deep fruit flavors.

Oozing with lots of fruit. Deep layers of blackberry with a hint of menthol. Long finish on the wine. Very bold wine which I think can go for another 10-12 years easily.

Wonderful cab with lots of forward fruit,leather and chocolate on the nose. Very smooth with great finish. Just visited frank last week and tasted great 2012, including the patriarch and the 12 reserve. This 2010 can compete withnthese wines. Perfect!

This was my second bottle. Loved the first one. Not sure if this bottle was bad. Acidic with alot of tannin. Very little fruit. Decanted an hour and no change.

This bottle for a 2010 is ready to drink. I took this over a buddies house. Opened for 1 hour. Very nice and settle tasting notes. Frank Family is a very consistent wine!

Had with dinner at Bleu Provance in Naples. Waiter Jim and sommelier Clement enjoyed the wine with us. Probably will see on menu next time we are in. Wine and dinner was wonderful. My favorite wine at my favorite restaurant in Naples. Ned to order more frank reserve cab!

Too sweet for me and drank it after a great bottle of bordeaux...... Big mistake.... But an easy, light red wine that most people will enjoy and very good for a party..... Very inexpensive......
