Paul Kremer Winkeler Honigberg Riesling Spätlese

Strong honey yellow colour, with a slight orange tinge. Fresh and slightly fruity nose. Obviously a strong firn taste, but tamed and pleasant. After opening quite strong acidity, apple, unripe peaches. Broadens out nicely after 12 to 18 hours. Residual sugar, firn, fruit and acidity playing nicely together. Degrades quickly after 24 hours. Not the most subtle of wines, but after almost 25 years still fresh and a real pleasure for those who like mature Rieslings.
