Medium ruby color. This is nicely perfumed, with notes of red cherries, some red currant too, christmas spices, cinnamon, some bacon, also some crushed violets and some minerality. It‘s medium bodied, with medium- tannin that is just a touch rough and some medium acidity. Medium length. A fun, pretty perfumed, but not overly complex red Burgundy. I would drink this soon while the fruit is still present.

A more heady version of a red burgundy, but short of robust. Drinking well now, but needs LOTS of air as a tad young, please dont popnpour. Notes of clove, touch of menthol, but 100% Varietally correct. Really fine wine best paired with food. If you can hold on to this for another year, believe it will be any better.

Domaines et Saveurs Dégustation (Beaune) : Walkaround tasting with the producers. Lighter start, but then more weight emerges with a real sense of substance. In its peak drinking window.

Need some air. Delicious once it had opened up, nice dark and red fruits and nicely integrated tannins. Good mouth feel and a pleasant spicy finish. Should go for a while.

This really makes the most of the ripe vintage. The blue fruit is so delightfully ripe and plummy on the nose, the richly flavoured palate is succulent and velvety, and the finish is firm and fresh and minerally. Not sure how this will evolve, but it is very attractive now. Drink.

Very good. Bright red fruit, aromatic. Well-structured but ready.

Because its a small valley with through exposition being south. A touch more meat and game here on the nose. I really like that. Swirling gives a dark cherry fruit to it. Because of teh vintage he wanted not to get to big of a wine so no pump over and no punching down if I heard that right. Brown soil if I got that right. About have a hectare? Round in the mid but then quite sturcture on the …

Same thing with the double name - the best vineyard got appended. Apparently it was Jefferson that caused it. He arrived in Beaune and wanted to go to Chambertain, but nobody knew where it was because it was Gevery. Apparently with Auxey it was 1920. Beofre that it was know as Auxey Le Gran? Wow. What a nose. Life saver again but so much more going on. The name came from an old pass in the old old old french. …

Cinnamon toast crunch, in a good way. Palate is a bit of spice and then straight. Yummy.

no oak, so a striking contrast to the Parent, but not in a bad way. Loads of structure and powerful. Leaner and more focused but so good. ..

Very light colour, quite transparent. Delicate nose, tertiary, earthy and strawberry notes. On the palate slightly imbalanced between acidity, tannins and fruit. Rather subdued mid-palate and the finish was quite short. Apart from this it did actually suit a wild duck's breast.
