Maturing colour but still good garnet. Lovely nose ripe cranberry but builds with a strong raspberry scent. Quite perfumed. Bright fruit, good lifting acidity, tons of raspberry scent fruit. Best about an hour after opening. Tannins build a little after that. Time in hand. Excellent Pinot.

fading a bit with early secondary flavors and some cedar. Nice balance and a nice match with thanksgiving dinner.

At peak and delicious !! This bottle was more interesting than my tasting note of one year ago revealed !! Perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle, easily removed. Dark ruby colored with little to no oxidation and medium clarity. Consumed over two days. No detectable deterioration during the two days. Morning Dew Ranch Vineyard is Burt Williams venture in the deep end of Anderson Valley. Planted to Pommard, Mariafeld (clone 23, a favorite of Burt’s deceased son), …

Sweet tart cranberry and not evolved. So tart and short and kinda thin and empty.

This wine is still tasting pretty good right now ! Balanced on the acidic side, this wine needs food, especially cheese ! Drink now ! The cork was perfect after over a decade in the bottle. I consumed this Pinot Noir over two days. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity was medium. Aromas of pomegranate, cranberry, and rose hips, acidic flavors of bing cherry, red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil with a medium finish. Popped and poured, this …

I've held this bottle since March 2011. This is richly scented of dried cherry, other red fruits and blooded mineral. My sips spread wide on entry, then cut a focused line of acidity and complex red fruit flavors down the middle seam of the palate - aggressively enveloping without a touch of undue weight or imbalance. It holds impeccable length on the finish that brings "uncloying" sweetness with the tang and verve of freshly picked mountain-berries. After all these years, …

Light red/brown in color, slight fading at the edges. An aromatic nose of red fruits. The palate is dark fruited on the entry, quickly shifting to cranberry and deep cherry flavors. Firm, but polished, tannins. Bright acidity, beautiful balance. Finishes a bit sharp and moderately long. Very nice wine. Drink over the next three years or so.

Similar to our note 18 months ago. This continues to be bright, rather energetic, with lovely pine forest components, fine balance and nice acidity. Highly enjoyable over three nights. Alas, our last.

Ripe plum and strawberry with secondary characteristics; nice but seem a bit flabby compared side to side with the WS 2011 morning dew Pinot--perhaps I just like Cali Pinot on the younger side

Similar to our note from 11 months ago, and even more enjoyable, with some additional tertiary character. These are well sourced and well made wines, bravo.

A little tart and acidic, did not decant, this needed some time to open up, then flavors of berries, raspberries.

Bright medium ruby. Balanced, vibrant, with a nice touch of earth and a bare hint of orange peel. Very lovely and lively over four nights.

Nice nose of raspberry over cherry; and taste: nice reversal of dark cherry over raspberry with some lavender; medium body; very nicely balanced. Excellent!

Dim Sum Club at Xin Yue (Xin Yue, Mohd Sultan) : Not the style of Pinot I like, but this was a pretty good wine nonetheless. It started out with a sweet gummy fruit nose, with ripe, sticky aromas of red cherries and raspberries alongside a floral note. Pretty, but a bit on the confected side. With time and air though, the sweetness tones down, and some earthy, brush notes started coming out, all making for a nicely fragrant bouquet. …

IPOB in SF 3/16 - Quick Impressions : Extremely complex- showing fig, honeysuckle, violets, and spice. Rich, polished, elegant and full. Beautiful stuff- candidate for WOTN.

Rustic but pleasurable with ripe cherry fruit, good acidic support, not too much alcohol (13.2% stated). Reminds me of a village Gevrey from down near the RN.

AVTG does '09 Anderson Valley pinot, blind (Foursight Winery) : Dark garnet, almost opaque, dark fruit aromas. Mid weight. Sweet, dark fruit, spice, smartly balanced vanilla/oak in the background. Acid +, tight, fine tannin. Excellent. My #2, group NR WOTN

Bright red in color with significant aromatics driven by red fruit and floral notes. Red raspberry and cherry with red berries. Has spice elements and good tannin structure that delivers a lovely palate experience. Supported by nice acidity that leads to a lingering finish.

Impressive first effort from Drew and this vineyard source. Bright and brilliant red fruit along with spice and floral elements on the nose. Palate offers a buffet of red fruit including cranberry, red cherry red raspberry and black raspberry for balance. Spice elements continue on palate and acidity drives this wine through to the finish. Lively in the glass and very classic Pinot profile. Nice tannins that indicate the ability to evolve longer term.

Rich nose, good mouth feel, too much oak. Enjoyable, but plenty of other preferred options at this price.

Red purple; bright cherry; berry, oak, tanic bite, short finish. It's closed down for now. I'd give this until 2014 to re-try. Needs time to integrate. Still, it is approachable at this young age.

Dark ruby color. Medium bodied. Lots of ripe, lush fruits (plum, apple, cherry) as well as some peppery spice. There is a little too much oak that I find disagreeable. Overall a well-made wine, with a nice crisp acidity. Not really to my taste, but definitely worth a try if one is a fan of California Pinots.
