The 2017 Vi�o de Encostas de Xistos is a crystal clear deep straw color with gold variation near the sides of the glass and water white near the rim. The nose showcases aromas of lemon zest, golden apple, peach, honeydew, white florals, white pepper, and saline minerality. Once in the mouth, this refreshing Albari�o displays notes of grapefruit, lemon citrus, apricot, stone fruit, honey, elderflower, exotic white spice, slate, and stoney minerality. Completely agree with the April 2019 note. This is quite fleshy and low on acid. It�s not lacking in flavor profile, as it has some nice earth and spice notes to go along with stone fruit, but just a bit flaccid on the mid-palate and finish.

Ginger, spice, and everything nice in a Galicia Albarino. Very tasty for a young wine. Paired with a summer spinach, almond, and gulf shrimp salad. Don't consume too cold as you will miss the flavors as they unfold. Great summer wine with good QPR.

A very fleshy Albarino, not that fresh acid that I thought, now more a cheese wine!
