Improved considerably after 3 hours. Starting to show some age, as it should near a decade old. Nose of Juicy red and black berries, vanilla, plum and cigar box. Tannins have softened considerably. Persistent acidity and nicely integrated high alcohol. Attack of sweet black plum and blackberry with tobacco evolve to a smoky, meaty black pepper filled long finish. Drinking well to 2030.

PnP. Lovely smell of red berries. Medium+ body. Dry tone at opening that disappeared after a short while. Elegant and distinct appearance with a little boldness in the background.

Always good this 2019 is fresh and juicy and quite delicious. Sweet tobacco, black cherry and cooked plums. The tannins are there but balanced with spicy oak and ripe fruit. Curious what a 10 year old version of this wine would be.

Red and black berries mature but fresh. At opening a little closed but elegant 90p. Decanting and a bold complexity not too jammy but rather dry (alcohol) bold, full body and long finnish appeared. A fantastic full bodied syrah well made. After two hours 92-93p.

Suckling gave this a 94 and who am I to argue. Medium ruby with medium plus intensity red fruit aromas. Dry, medium plus tannin, full body and high alcohol. Red cherry, anise, coconut and a bit of earthyness lead to a medium finish. A bit of aging might add some complexity but is not necessary.

38% Syrah, 33% Carmenere, 8% Cab Sauvignon, 5% Carignan, 4% Garnacha, 4% Malbec, 3% Tempranillo, 3% Petit Verdot & 2% Mourvèdre. Decanted 45m. Cherry, cinnamon, graphite, strawberries in the summer heat, hint of eucalyptus, clove, a humidor filled with cigars. Fresh but rich & endlessly drinkable, reminds me of the last days of winter where you know spring is nearly here.

Deep ruby. Medium plus intensity on the nose with blackberry, blackcurrant, red currant, licorice, bramble, smoke and dried fruit. Developing. Medium plus intensity and dry on the palate. Opened this bottle on a whim for a Thursday night sipper. Straight in to the glass. Low intensity nose of moss, cherry and oak. Initial sips were hot, and this could have done with some air time. I like this; there's a nice depth, structure, and intensity to this dark and spicy wine. The syrah comes through, though blended with many others. This comes off as quality wine more than I really loved drinking it, but I think it might really shine with a few more years in the cellar.

Inky purple and opaque with red edge. The nose is understated relative to the palate. The nose dominated by white pepper, sage, and ripe dark fruit.
