Nose is nice, crisp, straight up Riesling, soft stonefruit, mineral, super dry. Not too much in the way of petrol. Palate is both a little heavy, a surprisingly dark, and slightly short. Butter grapefruit. Very pleasant.

A step up in terms of depth and structure compared to Terrassen. Intensely mineral, dark, tight. On the palate again saline, pure, precise, intense. Impressive length. 93-94+

Retailer tasting (Vianen) : Tropical fruits and pleasant candy flavors in the bouquet. Same on the palate. Nicely dry. Concentrated wine. Still much too young. Wait until 2017 at least and drink it 5+ years after that. 91+

Wachau Spring Wine Festival (Wachauer Weinfrühling) (The Wachau) : A diffuse and rather dumb nose, quite round on the palate but with a predominant and ultimately overpowering taste of bitter lemon. € 14. **
