Weekly tasting group RWP #276 Ad Bibendum wines (@ DJ) : In the bouquet flowers, grasses, citrus and green impressions. On the palate grasses, green apples, pineapple, a firm amount of acidity. Clean and very refreshing wine.

Enjoyable, balanced wine that puts quite a bouquet in front of your taste buds. Lots of fruit and flowers. It went well with mahi mahi, but it would probably go with almost anything - or just by itself. Would be a good party wine.

Top quality NZ Sav Blanc - bright and precise. Good acidity, perhaps a little too heavy on the green pepper for me, but the addition of a little Semillon and some oak really helps add some body and length. Overall very good wine that is a country mile ahead of most NZ SBs.

CBCC fall wine tasting event featuring 44 wines total. Lemon peel & acidic at first which finished with tarty citrus flavor at the finish. Made me wince !! Not really my style.

Subdued aroma containing light scents of lime, grapefruit and apple. More grapefruit and sour apple on the palette along with raw almond nuttiness. I think there are better examples of NZ Sauvignon Blanc around. If you think NZ Sauvignon Blancs are too tart and aromatic then you might like this.

As good as Marlborough SB gets, in my opinion. Huge fruit, intense grassy and green pepper notes. Very ripe gooseberries are a feature of this wine as is the subtle oak handling. As long a finish as I ca remember in a Marlborough SB. There is some heat in the finish, which adds to the forceful nature of the wine and could turn some people off. But pair this with a roast beet and chevre salad and you will not …

Superb Marlborough SB that is well out of the ordinary. Vibrant and herbaceous nose that emphasizes tropical fruits. Plenty of zing and snap in the mouth is countered by excellent fruit density and a subtle oak nuance that add a slight creamy texture. Finishes long.

Immaculate wine that might just be the finest straight sauvignon blanc I have drunk from Marlborough. The ripeness of the vintage results in an opulent passion and tropical fruit nose. The palate is rich but never heavy with reasonable alcohol of a listed 13%, tropical fruits to the fore. Unusually for the style, this has intensity and a far greater sense of depth and layering than is generally the norm. 15" of the wine sees old oak and this helps …
