Popped and poured. Deep ruby color, coats the glass. Beautifully brambly syrah nose- mesquite & blood sausage, dried lavender & rosemary, black raspberry fruit, white pepper and hints of mulled spices. Very bright and open for a young syrah, with mineral notes and open raspberry and cherry fruit over the underlying herb and spice notes. Fine grain tannins lead to a dry mouthwatering finish. Lots of freshness and energy. Very enjoyable.

Northern Rhone Tastings; 4/15/2016-4/16/2016 : Tasted at the domaine. Notes of iron, grilling meat, spice, crushed stone and mulberry. Beautifully secondary on the palate, adding notes of minerality and flowers, along with bright fruit. Dense and rich in the middle, with big tannins and a full finish. Excellent.

Pungent savory aromas. Very nice.
