Dehlinger Pinot Noir Garbro Ranch

Not many notes on this wine in the last couple years, presumably as most who have them consumed them early, though CT still shows about 39% remain in cellars. I cracked one of the '17 Chardonnay bottles within days of receipt, out of curiosity for the new label from Dehlinger, but haven't tried the Pinot yet... Crimson in color. 14.5% ABV. Stunning nose of red fruits, cloves, earth and flowers. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Immensely appealing with bright, fresh flavors. Cherries, strawberries, pomegranate and spice on the palate. Super length on the finish. My first chance to try this wine and it is undoubtedly a great addition to the Dehlinger lineup. Best over the next 2-4 years.

Have had Dehlingers' Garbro Chard but not the Pinot. I always anticipate a good Pinot from Dehlinger and this first release from the Garbro label did not disappoint. This delivered big gobs of strawberry and cherry fruit that were bright and fresh. There's some spice along with apparent sweetness. Very smooth and plush. Color was a light burgundy. What a steal at $34.....lush and flavorful...and drinking well right now.

This was the inaugural release and we could not help but try it. The wine has beautiful colors. Not much nose. Young, light and fruity. Will be very nice after laying down for a few years. Exceptional for a first release.
