Similar to my last two notes. 1hr+ decant. Dark red color but not all that deep. Lovely Bordeaux style nose. Dark cherries, cedar, and a touch of oak on the palate. Integrated sweetness with hints of spice. Medium depth and finish. Very nice!

Dark as a moonless night, the nose and palate followed suit. It was all dark fruit with anise, boot polish, creosote and burning embers. Full-bodied mid-palate with a shorter finish and some unresolved tannins. An interesting style although it came across as a bit disjointed. Not sure this will make for old bones.

Fantastic! 1hr+ decant. Perfectly balanced and very refined from nose to finish. Deep dark cherries with tar and cedar. Coats the palate. Medium plus finish. Paired lovely with Chorizo burgers.

Still quite a deep purple colour. Maybe the slightest note of colour development. Deep blackberry nose. Lovely. Quite rich and plush I would say. Long. Still quite primary for me with dark fruits. Spicy, with hints of oak. Cassis and dark dried fruit flavors as well. Fruit seems to be fading. Lots of leather,graphite, earthy soil, granite. Went well with grilled steaks. Not sure how much time this has left. Fair amount of sediment as well.

- Brick color with fast forming legs with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Nose on this wine immediately hints of a jammy strawberry and black berry. Theres oak, vanilla and hint of leather in the first taste and finishes very smooth. Instant recognition of a Napa Cabernet with time still available. Love it!

30+ decant. Solid nose of cherry fruit and tar. Wine had a surprisingly large amount of oak, vanilla, and coconut in addition to the fruit and smoke. Decent amount of spice too. Seemed very different from what my previous bottles tasted like. Maybe I should have followed my previous note and PnP’d! Wasn’t bad at all, just different from my expectations.

A delicious wine that likely has another 10 years. Tannins are evident but integrated. Palate is more Old World than I expect for Napa. Cedar and earth. Very nice finish. Note that we brought to a restaurant in Whistler, and were not able to decant it. Drank well from first pour, and improved with time. Highly recommend.

Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. When you think of classic California cabernet, this pushes all the right buttons. 45+ minute decant but probably should have just PnP’d. Not as bold as I remember past bottles. Honestly it was rather weak and lacked material fruit or character. Finish was short. I better get to drinking my remaining bottles unless this was just off. Steve and Brooke enjoyed, which is all that mattered.

One of the best wines we have had from this winemaker. Still plenty of fruit forward flavor, and amazing finish.

Decanted for 2 hours upon opening; minimal sediment in the bottle. Still youthful with beautiful, heady aromas of black fruit, leather, cocoa and dust. The palate brings more dark fruit, mocha, vanilla and spice. Very plush, with medium-high acidity and a medium-long finish. Tannins are persistent but not rough. There's definitely new oak on this wine, but it adds roundness and doesn't overpower the fruit. Will continue to benefit from additional aging, but drinking well now with a long decant.

Dark fruit, cassis, a little oaky and a hint of leather, but not too tannic. Smooth, and was enjoyed by all. Had as a pop and pour, improved with a little time being open.

Luis' "Bring a very good bottle" event (St. Genevieve) : ROCKNROLLER's bottle. Oaky and rich. Really rich. Rich, lush, full and also balanced, unlike most Napa today. Black fruit. This is young, and in a style that I could see it aging longer than most.

A Mixed Bag at St. Genevieve (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN) : Dark red color. Decanted for 2.5hrs, drank 1 glass over an hour. Mint, cassis, subtle earth, oak, and plum on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with darker fruits of cassis, tart plum, hints of boysenberry, dried earth, mineral, mocha, and some nice tannins that have some firmness but no grip. Very good, drinking well now and should improve.

Wow! Perfect combination of fruit, finesse, and terroir! Wine still has legs too. Maybe it was the atmosphere with too great friends, but this wine shined. Can't remember what I paid for it, but it was well worth it!!!
