Had this bottle after Bridge by Allegro and it seemed thin and watered down. Still had some good cherry/raspberry flavors and some cedar notes but it clearly lacked complexity. Black Ankle's entry level red wine, their high end bottles are much better.

(Day 2) - color: purple velvet x crimson; nose: blackberry and some oak; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, smooth red fruit taste with earthy notes, medium-length finish with black pepper notes, moderate tannins; overall: very fresh tasting...the essence of western MD in a bottle!, fair QPR ($32/bottle at Black Ankle), slightly young as of Sept 2017...guessing it will peak in 2019 or so, would pair well with grilled pork tenderloin. Better on Day 2 and slightly chilled.
