This is an elegant expression of Napa cab; it's very light, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but I can see where some previous tasters were underwhelmed. My plan was to pair this with steaks, but after tasting, I think we'll sip on a glass and go for another option with dinner. Medium garnet. Smells like black fruits, mushroom, damp leaves, tobacco, earth, light barnyard, cedar, graphite. Smells great. Light to medium body, soft and smooth texture, medium acid, …

Stood up for a day, then double decanted for sediment. Served immediately in Gabriel Glas universals. Very dusty nose/palate. Most of the fruit seemed to have dropped out of this bottle, leaving a more savory, earthy wine. In absence of the fruit, the acid felt a bit high and slightly out of balance.

In my perspective an Oakville Cab should be 92+. This one fell short. I can buy a plethora of US Cabs of comparable quality for $10-20. Sweet dark cherry and milk chocolate along with the other dark berries with a medium- body. Middle is thin and the finish shows very little oak or tannin.

Very smooth and silky. Nice fruit and went very well with dinner.

Unimpressive and cheap tastng. Drank one glass of the bottle.

Really nice bottle of cabernet. Seems to be at just the right crossroads of vintage and bottle age - vintage definitely shows a bit, with some pyrazine and more classic Bordeaux aromas - but the green is relegated to just the nose - on the palate the fruit is great and the mouthfeel is excellent. Probably could age a bit more, but I like it a lot right now, so why wait?

Big bouquet of evergreen, fennel, and touch of herbal brambles. Lush texture, with dense, fine tannins. Great mouthfeel, very good extraction, focused acidity, and bright dark cherry fruit. Fine juice, with plenty of aging capability.

This is a great wine if you enjoy liquified green bell pepper and green olive. If you prefer a more typical Cabernet I suggest you consider avoiding this wine in this particular vintage. This was $40 down my drain. I'm just thankful I didn't take an $80 chance on it.

Wonderful after about 1.5 hours in the decanter. Succulent palate, lingering finish, bold cabernet. A steal at $55. Probably a couple years left before the drop off.

The label says "Napa valley" but it could very had well said "Haut medoc". Wonderful musty old world nose with leather, herbal, and tart berry cherry flavors. Seems '95 still has life in it and is far from being over the hill!

Wow! This was an amazing wine. Very large figured, fruit forward wine tasting much younger than 17 years old. Wonderful balance. Carries its significant weight gracefully. Wish I had a bunch more.

Quite a bit of tannins for a wine with this much age. Decanted, but needed an extended time. Still has fruit, leather, tobacco notes.

This one blew us away. Awesome mouthfeel and finish, a very balanced wine with great cassis and berry flavors that coats your mouth entirely. This is still tannic and very possibly should be held another 2 or 3 years before drinking.
