Royal Tokaji masterclass, Aiolos (WSPC) : 12%alc, Furmint/Hárslevelü/Yellow muscat (6%), 108gr RS, acid 6gr l/t, 5-6 months in oak. The wine shows bright yellow colour. In the nose, the wine shows a very rich profile, candied citrus/lime notes, sweet floral note, candied tropical notes, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, very inviting in style, fruit forward. Palate shows fruit character, copies the style of the nose, high acidity, rich tropical fruit, mango, very pleasant, refreshing, very light on its feet, nice acidity …

Mid gold, honeycomb, white flowers think of jasmine, fruity sweetness, ripe apricot / yellow peach, silky to mid weight on palate thanks to the balanced acidity to avoid viscosity

Clear yellowish-gold in color. The wine is somewhat viscous with prominent legs. Lychee, apricot, cooked green apple, grapefruit, vanilla, and floral notes. The wine coats the mouth and is well balanced with a touch of acidity that rounds it out. Obviously sweet, but not cloyingly so. Medium finish.

WC Blind tasting training #02 (Chez Moustakas) : sampled from 500ml The wine shows high intensity, overripe apple, pear, some tropical notes. With time you also get some tea leaves. Palate shows intensity, tropical fruit notes, pineapple, mango, broad, complex, some spice notes, med to high acidity

Impromptu Barolo and Barbaresco Tasting (Our Farm in NJ) : Brought by a friend to have with apple pie made by his wife. Wine is solid with moderate sweetness and slight botrytis that paired well with the tart apple in the pie. Little to no oxidative notes. Clean and fresh. Not a long aging wine but nice now.

Medium sweet. Acid a bit lower than I’d like. Light bottytis. Wax. Feels 80-100g/L honey. Saffron.

Strong apple and stone fruit flavor. Sweet but not overwhelming. Long finish with some vanilla. Not much alcohol taste even when holding it in the mouth. Excellent overall

Pear, honey, apricot, nuts. Great complexity but a bit too sweet for me. Delicious with a mild cake so it’s fine. Loved it.

**Sweet Sunday** (16/20) Elegant sweetness, almost too easy drinking ?? Blend of Furmint, Harslevelu and Yellow Muscat. Medium+ intense aromas of dried apricot, yellow peach, mango, red apple, orange peel, sweet pear,, blossom, white pepper, honey. Medium sweet wine, high acidity, full body, pronounced flavour intensity, long finish. 12% ABV - Hungary tasting @ Jan de Wijnman

Epic Imports portfolio tasting (Oinoscent) : Royal Tokaji Late harvest 2018 67% Furmint, 20% Harslevelu, 13% Yellow Muscat, selected vineyards of Tokaji, 150-250m, natural yeasts, partly botrytised, fermented in tanks and matured for 5 months in Hungarian oak, 12.0%, 108.2RS, 6.1gr acidity, 150.000btl -/- Fresh and elegant, juicy, ripe citrus, ripe stone fruit, floral notes, chamomile mostly. Palate juicy, chamomile again, citrus notes, full body, peach, apricot, dried mango, long finish, fine texture

Light amber colour. Gentle nose of peaches with yoghurt and popcorn. Medium dense mouth feel with a beautiful intense sweetness like syrupy peach juice, followed but a slightly bitter sweet finish.

Served too cold initially, and still delicious. Once it warmed to about 50 degrees (10 C), it paired exceptionally well with Roquefort. Tremendous range of flavors, excellent concentration, positively ripping acids. Improvement, over the next several years, seems possible. 92-93.
