A very nice cab franc, drinking really well right now right out of the bottle. Softened up a bit more with some air exposing soft tannins with a good deal of complexity. Hints of leather, tobacco and vanilla. Enjoy!!

This Sonoma Cab is aged and ready to drink now! It is dark garnet colored with a lighter purple rim. Initially, the nose was musky earth, and funky herbs. Over time, this blew off, and dark fruit appeared. The wine tastes fruity, mostly blackberries and currents, and is medium bodied. pnp with wine aereator. initially the nose was a little muted and the wine was one dimensional with big dark fruits but he acidity was not there. as the wine opened up, I got the dustiness that i enjoy in cab Franc and the palate started showing more chocolate notes. Still missing the acidity I enjoy, lets see what the other 11 bottles have in store for me. I enjoyed this wine.

An opulent, oaky wine that drinks likes California Cabernets that cost twice as much, this offers plentiful currant, vanilla, dust and cedar notes with structure coming from some fine, slightly astringent tannins. A bit flat on the midpalate, but hard to do a whole lot better for $20.

Second time I've had this wine, and despite several mediocre reviews by others, my impression remains positive. Well-balanced with lovely cherry and oak notes. Perhaps this lacks a bit of complexity, but I think it is still a good value, Sonoma County cab.
