Berry and cherry notes with floral notes in the background. Still has terrific fruit and nice softened acidity. Just a hint of spice in the finish.

Opened on the boat with our first anchoring. The anchor held true, and the bottle lived up to prior bottles with red fruits and some serious heft. Last of the ‘17s.

Bright ruby color. Aromas of wild strawberry, candied white currants, red berry and spice. Medium-bodied and fresh. I really like the Vin Gris three years from vintage. Currant, raspberry and spice flavors. Excellent.

Wild strawberry and raspberry notes follow through on the palate. Loads of spice carry through the finish. Excellent.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (Our house) : Ruby color. Wild strawberry and rose petal notes with underlying spice. Maybe just a bit short on fruit compared to the last two wines in the flight.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (Our house) : Similar to the 2016 with a great wild strawberry element, but just a bit more fruit with raspberry and currant notes. Good acidity & balance. 91-92 pts.

Deep color for a rose, as this cuvee usually is. Notes of ripe strawberry, white currant and watermelon notes. The palate follows the bouquet...abundant fruit and nice balancing acidity.

The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Chateau Lay) : Notes of strawberry, bright cherry and pepper. Nice depth of fruit and spice flavors on the palate, with good acidity and a very nice finish. Impressive.

Pretty nice. Knowing Lewis, I expected something more oaky, more heavy but they did this rose right. More earthy than sweet, and what I liked here was that the wine retains a licorice note from the syrah.
