Couleur ambrée, orangée. Nez de vernis, noix, cire. La bouche est intense et rappelle beaucoup un bon Sauternes. Miel, noix grillés, café et autres apportent une belle complexité à l'ensemble. Le sucre est balancé par une acidité encore bien présente. Un beau Monbazillac qui n'a rien à envier à beaucoup de Sauternes et à prix très raisonnable.

Beau petit Sauternes fort sympa. beau nez sur le miel et le caramel. En bouche, ample et fruité avec une longueur moyenne.

2003 vintage

Lovely wine. Nose oozes of carmelized pineapple, overripe mango, glycerin, caramel apple, and a slight pine needle note. All about the ripe fruit, only a touch of botrytis is noted and I don't detect much oak. Palate hits that ideal amount of sweetness and viscosity with sufficient acid to carry the pineapple pale caramel apple tinged long finish.

I had really no expectation about that bottle and it was a good surprise. It wasn't a great wine but I had pleasure with it's clean fruitiness, nice botrytis. The mouth had nice balance, not heavy at all, well integrated sugar. Good length. Nice wine !

Good concentration, sweet orange and bananas. Exceptionel tasty with cheese. Highly pleasurable. Not expensive at 10 euro's a bottle. Will buy again in september in the shop of Chateau Monbazillac.

St. Hans i Erfjord. Fin smak, passe søt til ost og sånn. Litt svak syre. 2 dager i flaske: :-D Melkerom, honning + litt spennende rusk. Tørket fersken. Bedre syre i dag.

At The Plough, Mountnessing, School Friends Xmas Dinner. No formal note. Ripe, sweet nose with floral notes, some peach and orange. Similar flavours on the sweet, medium/full bodied palate, quite rich with reasonable depth, reasonable acidity and a good length slightly orangey finish. Good/very good.

Nice dark yellow color. Medium intensity aromas of honey, dried apricots, orange peel, mineral. More fruit on palette. Nice acidity, medium/full body, balanced with fresh mouthfeel, medium plus finish. Very good value.

Yellow gold; apricots, honey, pears, orange zest; semi-sweet, orange, minerally, elegant, medium body, decent acidity, decent balance, nice finish. Subtle botritys on nose and palate. Tremendous QPR @ $9.95! Would pair well with shortbread.

Surprisingly, the most satisfying wine of the night especially given the price of this compared with the rest of the line-up. Had it with riesling poached pear and brown butter tart. Absolutely delicious. Honey, tropical fruit and pear on the nsoe. Picked up marmalade in the finish which went perfect with the tart as the filling has orange zest in it. An absolutely un-intentional perfect surprise to a sumptous Christmas meal.

Pale straw in color. Honey, pear and pineapple in the nose. Sweet, full body effort somewhat shy with the acidity. Very pleasing. Medium length. Excellent. Fantastic QPR
