My first seeing Burgundy with a screw cap. Starting off well. I recorked using a Repour over about 2 months taking out a glass each time. My last glass was the best. A perfectly acceptable, workmanlike, table burgundy red. Aromas of ripe raspberry and cherry, some spice and tertiary notes of leather and meat. Medium- tannins and good acidity. A little flabby/round rather than austere/angular; if you like merlot you will like this, but it might disappoint people who like more structure in their wines. Medium to medium+ finish.

Decent bottle, drinkable. Needs lighter foods to really sing. A little salty at first. Give it an hour in the decanter minimum.

90's Bouchard Tasting (St. Paul, MN) : Medium bright ruby color. Raspberry nose; tart rasberry palate, still has the minerality. Nothing special but would get the job done on an easy week day.
