Joseph Sabon Côtes du Rhône

Ruby colored with a jammy nose, strawberry jam predominates. A little thin mouthfeel. Taste has some strawberry and raspberry notes but is predominated by leather and a touch of black pepper. May be past it's prime.

The wine looks ruby colored. It smells like strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, raisin, cherry, plum and cinnamon. It tastes like strawberry and blackberry. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

We were disappointed. I love Sabon's high-end wines but here he just seemed to be going through the motions. Fairly big red fruit flavors, but lacking in depth and just lacking that yum factor. There are plenty of better CDRs for the price.

Saft og kraft. Aromatisk med hindbær, jordbær, kirsebær, lakrids og et strejf af træ. Friske runde tanniner. En behagelig vin som alle kan lide.

Juicy and powerful but not without elegance. Pretty aromatic with raspberries, strrawberries, cherries, licorice and a touch of wood. Fresh round tannins. A very enjoyable wine.
