1/6, vg cork. Medium ruby core, pale garnet rim. Bright but quite ripe nose - black cherries, florals, touch of liquorice and then dung with time in glass. Medium bodied, bright, black cherries, touch of savour, pure fruited and qwuite lithe with fine tannins, vibrant/cirsp acids and a decent length finish. VGI, quite youthful still!

Not quite up to the last bottle, but still quite good.

This was an outstanding food wine. Some tart, tawny cherry notes with an earthy minerality. Medium plus finish and fairly complex; plenty elegant. Drink now and over the next five years.

Quite hard for a 2010. Will the structure ever integrate?

This has evolved into a really beautiful wine. Although it likely has a long life ahead of it, there is no harm in enjoying it now. Paired with mushroom risotto, it came across as a wonderful wine both with and after dinner.

Fully mature. Nose and palate of truffle and earth. Has a longish finish with a bit of spice and nice acidity. Will last years longer, but will probably not improve much

Very enjoyable after an hour of air or so. Not overly complex but very nice.

Leaky cork, wet capsule. Something was off here. Many of the things I love about this wine were present (musky red fruit, delicate medium weight) but there was a sour - acidic edge to it that would not go away.

Delightful. Aromatic - fruit, florals with a hint of anise. On the palate, shows some sappiness, hint of sweet with little earth or gaminess. Decent acidity that's quite secondary to the fruit. Muted tannins. Finish is on the long side. Lacks a bit of complexity. Will probably improve over the next few years, but doesn't seem to have the backbone for extended aging. That said, it's very pleasing for current drinking. 90+ points.

Good Savigny. Not too flashy or overly oaky. Pleasant sous bois and black cherry with proper acidity and balance. Very nice with appropriate fare. Should last, but it seems ready now for my tastes.

Bright red fruit. Focused cherry, pomegranate, strawberries. Young tannins. Sharp acidity. Very straightforward, drinkable wine, though a bit simple and lacking the Burgundian rusticity. Pleasant, but perhaps not worth the $41.

Very fruity, fairly dark colored. Very drinkable and enjoyable, but lacks the elegance (to some extent) and minerality or earthiness or spiciness of the more complex Burgundies.

Blind tasting of 2010's (part2) Very much closed on the nose ; brisk and sweet attack broadens nicely in the mid-palate. Racy acidity, with nice length in the finish but non-descript . Clearly not a top-tier wine but well made. Next day, more tannic than earlier and also dull and lean .
