A good and typical CdR. Popped and poured. Tannins slightly overpowered things for the first hour and a half, then seemed to integrate well with the rest. Decent fruit and a long finish. Would be great at $10, I paid 14 this time.

Ruby red. Cherry and flowers. Tight and garrigue. Cherry, dirt, garrigue, and spice. Enjoyable. Good with food. Concentrated. Dry finish. Good tannins and acidity.

There is a nose of rich, dark red fruit and a bit of glycerin. Light-bodied on the palate, this wine is also fairly one-dimensional.

Unfiltered. Medium-bodied. Nose was like pages from an ancient book. Dusty fruit. Some earthiness. Some berry fruit. 14% alco (D6.5, F 5; East)

Med red color. Very young tasting. Tight. Definite grenache taste. Put on weight over time. Last glass was better than the first.

Tasted side by side with the slightly less expensive cuvee Font de Blanche (2004) from Clos du Mont Olivet, I preferred this bottling, as it has better concentration, riper red cherry fruit, less obvious acidity, and shows less alcohol. This cuvee also shows some light spice and garrigue notes. A solid $14-15 CdR.
