Impressive, stylish wine. Grilled pineapple, almond nougat, tarte tatin, and candied citrus on the nose. A little more linear on the palate than the nose suggests, with a fresh and sufficient acidity that melds well into the vegetal bitterness - celeriac always comes to mind - of macabeu.
