Pahlmeyer Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

Color was translucent red. Nice minerality to the nose, with plenty of fragrant light red fruits. Flavor profile was just ok. This one fell a little flat for me. Maybe I expected more because its a Pahlmeyer.

Medium red to the dark side; dense, concentrated, hint of pepper, licorice, long aftertaste; really good

By the glass. Very côté de Beaune village like. Rustic, direct and lacking that deeply acid character. Earthly yet pretty short. Aromatically speaking memories of a rhubarb, wild strawberries and cherry salad served with sour cream. Similar echoes on the palate with spicy and earthy tones.
