Strong cherry, black fruit and woody aromas. A little oaky and floral/earthy. Medium body with good acidity and moderate tannins. Brick red on the outer edges. Not great with Kashi Three Cheese Penne but not awful.

Aromas of cedar and berry. Nice palate of cherry and leather. Pleasant leathery finish. Not going anywhere but good to drink right now. Classic chianti at a reasonable price. These days that counts as a real find.

Plenty of Chianti typicity on the nose. Good breadth, with earthy and red fruit aromas delivered on an ample sweet spice current. Good depth too but not impressive. On the palate, slightly ruvid tannins and a medium structure are consistent with the nose' typicity. The fruit is ripe and of good quality. Quite good value. Rebuy: Yes

Notes taken on day 3. Ruby of medium intensity with violet reflections. The nose displays a good level of Chianti typicity. Masculinity, finesse and power combine themselves in good harmony. Some leather notes show up first and leave the way to intense dark cherry and violet perfurmes. There is depth and intensity, enhanced by a powerful bed of spices. The palate shows good structure and balance of elements. The tannins are pleasently ruvid and well integrated with the fruit. Rebuy: …

Medium ruby red. Typical Chianti bouquet, with both rustic and refined character, and a more than fine degree of complexity. Fruity and floral sensations reminiscent of sour cherry, violet on an undercurrent of leather and roasting aromas such as dark chocolate and smoke. The spices integrate well and add extra depth to the bouquet. On the palate fruity, fresh with mild tannins. Very well "old-fashioned" made Chianti.

Good, solid classico for the price (8 euros) Needed time in the glass to expose nice fruit and earthy wood flavors.
