Opened 40 minutes prior to pairing with sauteed and oven-finished Atlantic Salmon with slightly spicy tomato vinaigrette. A medium ruby robe, with very clearing and perhaps slightly orange-tinted meniscus, with very significant legs, indicating that it has plenty of glycerin. Black currant and firecracker residue on the nose, this is already setting off alarms! Opened 1 hour before pairing with roast pork tenderloin and roasted fingerling potatoes. A bright medium ruby in the glass, the somewhat reticent nose is of cherry, pomegranate and a touch of spice. Medium bodied on palate, there was little tannin on display and not a lot of complexity. That said, all 3 of us drinking gladly consumed this and wished we'd had a bit more when it was gone. it's actually quite lovely. full of black cherry, mineral and spice with some fresh flowers and cola. maybe a little prickly pointed acidity in the mouth with some orange peel and cranberry. finishes elegantly without being boring. me likey. 87-90 pts.

Gorgeous high-toned red fruits, perfumed lilac and bramble on the nose. Cranberry and sour cherry fruits are seductive and juicy, though the structure is what this wine is all about. All that fruit is contained by its lithe, silky texture, and a lingering spiciness of secondary character. Well made and a wine that I'd expect to only get better over the next 5+ years.
