From a beat up looking bottle stored a few years in a friend's basement. Dark purple with violet-pink bubbles. Nose of balsamic vinegar and prunes. Medium-light body, with some drying tannins and medium-low acidity. Dry to off dry. Not too effervescent. The flavor would be best described as flat Cotton Club Cherry-Strawberry soda. I had no prior experience drinking lambrusco, so I am going to being a poorly stored bottle past its prime.

7 Days in Italy II; 2/17/2019-2/23/2019 : From Castelvetro. For spicy foods and BBQ. Grasparossa to be drunk room temp in winter and chilled in summer. 100% Grasparossa, 13 g/l RS. Dark red fruits, ‘prune’. Some savory to the finish. Nice balance, fruitiness with a touch of that sauvage savory.
