Quite a deep colour; soft, slightly sweet dark cherry and bramble fruit, medium weight and perhaps a little simple, but attractive now. A good value mature Southern French wine, which will still keep well.

Quite a deep colour; soft, slightly sweet redcurrant and blackberry fruit, nicely rounded and with good fruit. Attractive now and unlikely to improve.

Medium depth of colour; attractive, raspberry/cherry fruit, medium to full, with a slight mustiness but overall quite pleasant. This seems ready but should keep.

Tasted blind. Late night impromptu speed tasting session at ES. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is not clean, medium+ intensity, with obvious bretty aroma of freshly pooped animal dung in the garden under a floral bush. Other aromas of black pepper, dark red cherries, animal, and leather. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, grippy leathery tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet blackberries, boysenberries, dark red cherries, licorice, minerality, black …

Popped and poured. Tasted blind. Clear, medium ruby. Fresh red berries and cherries, pepper, clove spices, stony minerality and brett. With air, some dark cherries as well. High acidity, medium body, medium tannins. A medium(+) finish of cool bright fruits. This wine was a little bit of a contradiction. It had rather strong brett and animal notes, yet with a distinct freshness throughout that belies its warmer Mediterranean origins. Very enjoyable.
