I love this wine with some age. Nose is blackberry, pomegranate, violets, brown sugar and cigar box. It's honestly intoxicating how much it jumps out of the glass. Palate is still juicy. Blackberry, black cherry chocolate. Full bodied. Tannins are gorgeous right now. Medium acid. The finish is polished and lasts for a good 45 seconds+.

- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of black pepper, smokey, cedar, blackberry and tobacco. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of blackberry, black pepper and vanilla with a full body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Decanted two hours. Big rich, deep flavored red wine.

Black fruit, plum almost prune flavor. Although that sounds bad and what I am tasting is lovely and luscious. The fruit blends with lots of earth, a bit of tar and spice into a long full finish. There is a tart component to this wine that works with the fruit. A slight harshness in the finish kept it from being a 92.

This is a very easy, laid back teeth staining petit sirah blend with decent structure and nice smooth finish. Not capable of remembering detailed notes as this was the 3rd wine of the evening...

This is a delicious and full bodied petit Syrah blend. Daou has done it again!

Paso Robles wines; 9/27/2019-9/28/2019 (Paso Robles) : Tasted at winery; fruit, sappy with tart finish, big wine, would not drink again.

Very dark maroon. Interesting with the significant use of Tannat resulting in a weighty fruit driven wine showing mostly blueberry and blackberry with scents of baking bread.

Delicious petit Syrah. Daou blends it with some Tempranillo and tannat. Resulting in a dynamic nose and palate. Great wine. I will buy some more.
