Still really nice. Not over the top but won’t improve more.

Estava muito bom! Porém, a rolha tinha acabado de vazar.

The New World PN notes are clearly there, with cherries, strawberry, some menthe, hint of thyme, yet with distinctively more heat and earth than, say, NZ or Oregon PN. Good intensity and surprising length. Might be in its prime now. A bit all over the place given the fruit, intensity of acidity and alcohol, but nevertheless enjoyable, and I'm glad I cellared this vintage for a couple of years. 89-90p

Shockingly much better than I thought it would be. Not so green and mean, more plush and elegant.

PnP, the nose is mushroom and cherry as is the palate, with clear spicy notes threaded throughout. Bracing acidity and mellow tannins are well placed in this medium bodied wine.

Initially seemed unintegrated between oak and acidity, but pulled together nicely with air. Raspberry, olive, five-spice and cola. Reminiscent of an upper tier CA Central Coast Pinot, like Talley. On the riper, fruit-forward end of the spectrum without veering into ponderousness. Should hold up with age nicely due to internal equilibrium, though I'm not convinced it will really develop.

PnP at Portillo. Again, very new world but well executed. 14%

Wine Fair (Rijswijk) : Ripe red forest fruits. Good dose of oak. Full bodied and round. Typical new world Pinot Noir. Already very easy drinking. Ready now and the next 3+ years.

was dark in appearance. Some wood and red fruit on the nose, but not a typical pinot nose. If you like a full flavored wine, then this is for you. There is nothing delicate about this wine. More of a blunt instrument vs. nuanced Burgundy. No food eaten with this wine and that suited it fine. I would buy again at the right price. Drink before 2015.

Syrupy, dense, over-sweet, over-extracted, with heavy dark fruits on the palate and lots of clumsy, obtrusive wood. I only drank half a glass of this wine; it simply wasn't much fun. Also it didn't taste much of pinot noir. I am certainly no expert, so I suggest this tentatively, but might some syrah or merlot have been added? Avoid.

This one was worth the wait. Likely not at peak yet but was developing nicely. A good year to drink this bottle.

Bright, clear, purple red. Big plums, cherries and a bit of menthol on the nose. Smooth, cherries, forest fruits, good length.

Dark. Nice rounded fruit nose. Spicy, dark fruit, great length, balanced tannins, bid new world PN.

I figured to see how this has developed a year to the day since I've tried this. Picking up more smokiness and a green vegetal profile this time; some bright red fruits as well. Nice and fruity on the front palate of sweet and sour cherries; slightly tannic that mellowed out a bit.

Smokey cherries on nose. Bright, dark red. Smooth, rich, great length, balance, warm finish, fruity, complex, plummy and fat.

Violet, purple. Smokey bacon, vegetables and fruit on the nose. Smooth, full, builds up with fruit but slightly new world edge undermines flavours.

Bright and clear, slightly pinkish. Big cherry nose. Full, forest fruits fresh, slight sourness, short to medium length, not too complex, very pleasant and easy drinking.

Big, dark, sweet new world pinot. So far so normal. What surprised me was the lack of interest on the nose and the lack of complexity on the tongue. It certainly doesn't suck but it is lacking a narrative. Overall verdict, Meh.

Not memorable. Too long ago. Just remember it didn't suck.

interesting new world Pinot. It almost seemed like a blend. Definitely fruit forward and not subtle, perhaps a bit over extracted.

Always good, always reliable. Dense, dark, alcoholic (14,5%). But all this alcohool is perfectly integrated in a strucutred wine with a lot of ripe fruits.

Really like this one. Has that dark cherry cola taste but also detected some sugar cane(?). Darker color for a pinot. Not as tarty as most Pinot I've drank. I think this is more of something you want to drink by itself or after dinner. Should've ordered a few more.

Right up my street. Big fruity New World Pinot, almost on a par with a pricey NZ aristo. Very versatile with-or-without food wine.
