Prinz von Hessen, Winkeler Hasensprung Riesling BA, Rheingau

This wine was a golden yellow color. It had aromas of diesel and apricots. Rather smooth and certainly not out of balance in any way. Nicely aged with a silky texture. Notes of orange and tropical fruits. 91 points.

Purchased recently from K&L for $40. The wine was from a private collection. Never heard of the producer, but know that the '76 vintage was special in Germany so I thought it would be worth a shot to educate myself on how spatlese ages.
