Amalaya, Blanco, Salta

Pale straw with green highlights. Very aromatic on the nose: orange blossom, jasmine, lime zest, and white peach, with a faint herbal note. Dry on the palate with bright, high-altitude acidity. Citrus-driven with some stone fruit and a saline/mineral edge. Torrontes florality is present but restrained by the Riesling, keeping it crisp rather than perfumed. Light to medium body, clean and linear, finishing fresh with lingering citrus peel and white flowers. Nice balance and excellent value.

Really interesting wine as an aperitif but a bit difficult to match with food. Chinese take-away is my best guess

This wine represents an almost unprecedented value! At below 8 Euros, it offers qualities of a 15-20 Euros wine. Light yellow-green with explosive aromatics of white rose, grape juice, lychee, lime and mineral hints, reminiscent of a gewurztraminer. Medium-bodied and extra crispy with rich fruit, slight sweetness and high, mouthwatering acidity. Surprisingly long aftertaste. A bargain in every sense of the word.
