Popped about an hour prior to drinking, no decant. Brightly summer red fruited, floral, pretty, with mild but pleasant tartness. In a really good drinking window. Enjoyed this.

Very nice wine, didn't make a detailed note but loved the red fruits and flowers on this.

Very pure, crunchy red fruit, but with good structure, med+ acid, med+ tannin, good length and concentration, but very juicy. Very good!

Wild red cherry, blackberry, with earthy notes, quite forward. Drank over two days and earthy component became more notable on the second day. Palate is well structured, all components in balance. Not sure how Cinsault ages. There was a notable softening of the tannins on the second day. Very enjoyable now but likely to improve given the two-day experience.

Light cherries but with a dark fruit component. Not as smooth as the Rall Cinsault but potentially more complex. Really tough to decide which one I prefer. Both enjoyable and drinking well.

Medium ruby red colour. Medium nose with raspberry, strawberry, smoke, forest floor, white pepper and violet. Medium taste of raspberry, red cherry, white pepper, cloves and earth. Long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Light tannins. Medium body. A fresh and interesting Cinsault that is close to a Pinot Noir. Goes well with duck or game.

Soft nose of red fruit, roses plus initially, mild animal notes. Fruit forward, m+ tannins, m acidity. Medium length, slightly spicy, drying finish. Would wait at least a year. 85-87.

Terroir-istes Local - Cinsault/Cinsaut (Cape Town - Las Cases) : (Tasted Blind): Piercing, ripe red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petals, and red liquorice. Quite Pinot Noir-like! There is plenty of sweet cherry on the entry, plus stemmy notes giving a menthol and lavender edge. Fresh, almost shrill acidity, the sweeter fruit softens the chalkier, slightly hard tannins. The finish is medium to long, and there are some smoky notes coupled with spice, mineral, and a bitter cherry pip. It closes …
