Chateau des Leotins, Bordeaux

Says Vignobles Lumeau on the front, but just Chateau des Léotins 2020 on back. A reasonable 13%. Honestly delicious front to back. Pop & pour, deep dark bright ruby. Nose of blackberry, boysenberry, pomegranate, currant, a little sun drenched soil. Tastes rich and dense, blackberry, black currant, some ripe strawberry, a light sweetness like violet, touch of lemongrass and tarragon, and the soil from the nose on the finish with lasting currant and dark fruits. Nothing has changed since my review of 9/29/18. It is surprisingly very Bordeaux on the nose and smooth on the palate. My score is somewhat influenced by the price I paid 10 years ago ($7) and is a remarkable value. 10 years in my cellar has paid off IMHO!

Deep Ruby tones, warm red fruit and briar notes, supple, Strong body, this is a great Bordeaux for the price

This wine is still doing well, with sufficient fruit and Bordeaux character. Should last through the year.

this wine has an aroma a light green powder. It seems true to its roots with a soft dark body and dry coffee grounds infused finish and would likely accompany food well although this was enjoyed on the porch after dinner. Good but everyday.

beautiful french wine bouquet,ruby-red, smooth soft with hints of oak and tobacco, went down very well with french/dutch cheese course. Would recommend for coq-au-viin, other french, good value bordeaux.

surprizingly not bad for $8. If I had not gotten a recommendation from the 5th Ave guys...would not have tried this. Lots of juicy red fruit, a touch of oak shone through with vanilla notes. opened june 3rd, had 1+ glass. june 5th 1+ glass, june 6th 1+ glass. sealed and put in the fridge...probably too cold on the 5th/6th

Reddish purple color; medium body with a smooth creamy texture. Nose of red fruit with a hint of oak, otherwise inexpressive. On the tongue, more fruit, cherries and blueberries particularly, licorice, as well as some gritty-sand minerality. Good party and pizza wine. The enjoyment is in its freshness and youth; it is not something I would put in the cellar.
