Notes- had over five hours. Quite a powerful and fun Cab Franc. Not Old World, not what a lot of New World tastes like, like a high altitude and restrained version of New World ripeness. Aromatically effusive. Rich purple fruits, fresh tarragon, a touch sweet f lavender and black pepper. Interesting wine. The nose is a bit untamed - wild violet and lavender. Wild raspberry. No wood, a bit of alcohol, but not out of proportion. Absolutely would not call this cab franc - I’m used to pyrazine and/or green pepper. Not getting that. Still - pretty fun to try. (This is SO much better at 55-60 degrees than room temp.)
