Madew winery on Lake George no longer exists. It was bought by Lake George Winery next door in 2008. On to the wine. Cleanskin (they were waiting on labels). Deep burgundy, brownish tinges. Cigar, white pepper, hints of ripe plum. Plums continue on the palate, joined by liquorice. Silky tannins follow. Nice at age.
