Best Oz wine after 2 weeks in Oz. Elegant and lithe. Ripe red cherry fruit and a good dose of cola and spice. Tannins are there but integrated. It is long. Reminds me of a slightly warmer Mount Eden. 180 aud at Morrison's in Sydney.

Drank and decanted over two hours. Enjoyed with the prix fixe menu at Vue du Monde in Melbourne. Easy-drinking Pinot. Notes of strawberry, dried cranberry, crushed pepper. 90 points.

Nose: black tea, candied cherries, earl grey Palate: candied cherry, raspberry,strawberry, bergamot, touch of earth Finish: volcanic soil and baking spice

World Wine Estates – Big Fat Wine Trade Tasting 2024 (The Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park) : A single-vineyard Pinot Noir (2001 vines) with a vibrant red fruit profile and hints of aniseed. The wine’s zingy acidity and vanilla undertones added intrigue, while the soft tannins and elegant mouthfeel reflected its partially shaded vineyard origin. This was quite good and showcased its unique terroir beautifully.

Restaurant purchase by the glass. Nuiances of sour red cherries, however green edged, capsaicin, stalky, rhubarb, and all round a little murky. Rather unimpressed I must say.
