Flavors confirm much on the nose: tart cherry, strawberry, cranberry, dried mushroom, fresh fertilized soil, crushed granite, clove, hint of vanilla. Ready to open now and well balanced

Always a pleasure to taste Méo-Camuzet, even at Bourgogne level. This bottle has a dominant gunfire smoke aroma, over mature strawberries, morello cherry, forest floor, baking spice and earthy notes. Nuanced, elegant and long.

First time having a Meo Camuzet and I get the hype. This was a more pricy Bourgogne Côte d'or than what I have tried before but thought let's try the producer. The wine pours a medium and dark ruby and served with boeuf bourguignon and buttered mash potatoes. Decanted 30 minutes before serving. Medium-deep ruby. Nose of vanilla, baked raspberry crumble, and a little bit of funk. Medium-to-medium-plus body, medium-to-medium-low acid, low tannins. Flavors of dark cherries and raspberries on the front with some coffee coming on mid-palate and into the finish perhaps joined by some burnt chocolate. This was a dead ringer for a Russian River Valley pinot -- tasty for sure, but not what I am looking for out of Burgundy.
