No decant, but after quite a bit of swirling, coffee, leather, bell pepper/capcasin, slight mint, pot pourri, died cherry, vanilla, oak. Palate, cherry, herbals, vanilla, good acid, very dusty subtle tannins. Quite nice. With prime rib, the subtle fruit gets overwhelmed, and is almost raisiny. Drink with a small bit of cheese.

Very nice wine indeed. Needed a decant, but pretty big wine with firm tannins. Will hold for another 5-10 years.
