Der 2009er Wein war beim drinken 9 Jahre alt. Er sollte erst mindestens 30 min nach dem Öffnen genossen werden. Die fruchtigen Noten nach Kirsche und Brombeere kommen dann erst richtig zur Geltung. Davor sind die Tannine zu sehr im Vordergrund mit übergreifender Säure. Nach der Ruhezeit ist der Wein unglaublich ausgeglichen und harmonisch mit starken Röstaromen sowie Pfeffer und Geschmack nach dunklen Beeren.

This one just missed. Great aroma, with notes of baking spice, pepper and a really vibrant dark berry profile. Also a nice little savory note. On the palate, the tannins are just a little brash, while the spice overpowers the fruit slightly. Very good QPR at $12. Very mild oak, with plum and cherry, white pepper and eucalyptus. Soft wine with little tannin structure gives a smooth wine. One dimensional, with little depth, but a nice finish. enjoyable. Bargain at the right price. Real Quaffer.
