Deep gold. Full bodies with round toasty biscuity flavours but still fresh and minerally. Stood up will to spicy salmon the first night and still lovely the next night with sea bass with paprika and garlic beans. 4/5

Grands Jours de Bourgogne 2014 Day 1: Chablis 3-17-13 : Slight heat characteristic of crummy 06 whites, tactile on the nose, toffee a bit on palate as this succumbs to oxygen....

Purchased at the domaine: Lemon, lemon drop, peach pit, yellow cherry, apple skin; seaspray, button mushroom; limestone-oyster shell aspect with chalky, gravel minerality; white flowers, (hawthorne, acacia); medium body, medium acidity, medium alcohol; balanced, dry finish, slightly round and supple with good depth. Beautiful with mandarin/apple salad. Not super expressive, but classy. 91-92.

Quite a deep gold, much deeper than the La Chablisienne Bougros of the same year drink a couple of days earlier. Also much more developed with more nutty and biscuity flavours still underlined by some minerality. The use of wood clearly identifiable. More in the style of a Cote de Beaune wine than a Chablis. 3+/5 (86-89)

France 2011 - Chablis; 7/6/2011-7/7/2011 (Chablis) : Tasted at the Domaine. This is a big wine with riper and rounder yellow and citrus fruits but doesn't show as much 2006 typicity as other 06s I've tasted. Shows some minerality and it's fairly weighty in the mouth. It finishes long and fresh. Drinks great already but clearly there's no rush. Very good.

Bright, medium gold. Youthful ripe pear on the nose, some creamy oak and even spice. More citrusy on the palate, a dash of well integrated creamy oak. Reasonably fat and rich with excellent, thrilling contrasting acidity, still youthful with lime and perhaps just a hint of minerality on the finish. Overall excellent, almost Corton-like, indeed seems to lack a little typicity but none the worse for that - at least not on this occasion and should have a long life …
