Churton, The Abyss Pinot Noir, Marlborough

Softer nose than I expected, understated even… Very broad and open. Feels like small berries- sweet and concentrated, cool and dark, Burgundian. supple feel and greedy, lots of nice forest floor, mix of dark and red fruit, tea. Very intense and greedy attack, nice weight and very generous, round, easy-going… lovely!! This is going to be well worth following.
