Drinking really well right now. Full bodied but balanced tannins and alcohol (vs. a couple years ago) Cherry Coke on the nose, tart berries on the palette. Happy we opened this tonight!

Not as great as some of the other offerings from Nickel and Nickel. Wouldn't buy again. Still, better than most.

Dark, high acid, high tannin. Long decant needed here. Begins opening but still dominated by the cocoa, currant, tart cherry, loamy mineral soil notes. Noticeably darker than the average cab.

Delightful N&N cab - a new one for us - lots of blackberry, black currant, and plum. The wine had nice structure and balance, was really singing at the 2 hour mark. I’d decant for at least 90 minutes.

Medium ruby. A fresh, lifted and perhaps more red-fruited nose than is typical for the genre offers aromas of Rainier cherries, strawberries, blackberry jam, loamy earth, cigar tobacco and oak spice. Just medium bodied on the palate with medium+ acidity, a medium and unobtrusive level of tannin, and simple tart berry flavors. This tastes like Oak Knoll, that is to say it is buoyant and crisp, but those who like their Napa Cabs to have a little more junk in …

Clear deep ruby; clean medium plus nose of blackberry and wet soil; dry; high acidity; high tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa; long finish; drink in 3 to 6 years; darker profile than the other wines in the tasting line-up; stood out - along with the Dogleg; tasted at winery

Ripe and rounded here. More open and expressive.

Deep dark reddish-purple, essentially opaque in color. Full, forward, & fragrant aromas of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with lovely overtones of dusty/earthy & spice notes, herbs, dark cocoa, minerals & a bit of oak/vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, lush, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with cocoa, herbs, spices, minerals & vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with …

A very good wine, but I spent $128.98 on it at Total Wine and more. To me, it's just another Nickel and Nickel wine worth about 75% of what I have to pay to get it.

Much darker than the Rutherford, almost inky. Very tasty. Some pepper nearer the finish but underplayed. Continual dark red and black fruit throughout, but not overbearing. Tasty.

Blackberries, leather, clove and tobacco on the nose. A savory, medium-weight body that leads to smooth finish. A leaner wine, more of a lighter Bordeaux in style - pulled off nicely. Ready to drink now, especially with a juicy steak...

Full bodied. Dark fruits, Oak and leather. Nice tannins. Needs about an hour to open up.
