deep garnet colours. nice nose of violets and cherries. palate is good too. medium bodied, red fruits, good spicey tannins. great value at under £7.

Astounding wine and best of a mixed case of Languedoc Roussilon wines (so far...not finished yet). A very rustic, almost chambolle-y nose with lots of farmyard and wet dog. Sniffed blind I would have believed it was a good burgundy. On the tongue - smooth and velvety - like a good cote du rhone with perhaps a little less pepper spice than I'm used to.
