Night of Merlot with Lianzijia (Newmarket, Auckland) : opened and breathed in bottle for half hour. dark plum, dense and pure fruity flavours, with some oak and spices. m++ body, medium grained tannins, smooth texture, sleek style, well polished. long finish with subtle cream and vanilla notes. still young, need time to integrate better. Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 16/20, Overall 4+4/10 Total 92+/100

deep dark red with purple hue. dense dark plum, rich spices and some oak, good weight with some alcohol warm, m+/full body, medium grained tannins, long finish, shining on each aspects, just need more harmony. It's very young, hold and it will take time to integrate, big potentials for sure. great Gimblett Gravels, great 2019 vintage and great producing team, from vineyard to winery. 92 at the moment, I expect it will reach 95 in about 5-10 years.
