Gagnon-Kennedy Vineyards Zinfandel Revolver Monte Rosso Vineyard

Similar to my last bottle notes of 3 months ago...but this bottle maybe 1-2 points better. Juicier upfront to begin with rich berries and orange rind on the nose and more sophisticated after 2 hours. Reminds me a great deal of a Dick Arrowood '13 Amapola Creek made Zin off this same property.

Pnp and enjoyed over 4 hours..... Pretty well made Zin. Requisite brambly dark berry Monte Rosso fruit and forest floor notes, but in the long range set of things, it's not much different than other well made Monte Rosso Zins that cost less. By the 4th hour of air it turns a bit coarser and astringent so it has plenty of time left to go and grow. Maybe it gets a point better than it currently is?
