A really nice and unusual red from one of my favorite hidden gems in Sonoma. Not only is their wine top notch but the views of the Vineyard from their tasting room and Japanese style terrace garden are breathtaking. This red is similar to a beafy red Burgundy with big fruit flavors and a smooth tart finish.

Flash note. A flash note is one that I distinctly remember the quality/overall rating of a wine but can’t give specifics because the tasting note was not written at time of tasting. Not too memorable but I tempered it was pretty good and reminded me of a northern Rhône. Recommended

A bit too much tannin for my tastes. Nice fruit flavor. I haven't drunk this wine since 2003 when it was still called Gamay but do like the refreshing nature. Good for a picnic.

For what this wine promised to be (easy drinking, cru Beaujolais-like) I thought it hit the nail right on the head. With more structure and interest than all but the best cru Beaujolais, it had a little darker fruit and deeper flavor, but remained light on its feet. Doesn't demand your attention but persuades you to give it. I was impressed by this "Napa Gamay."

Not much character but enjoyed the flavors that were there. Very subtle.

Decent fruity red with good acid.
