Reminded me of a rioja. Lots of oak yet well integrated.

Great Ontario wine. Highly recommended. It still has a year or two of storage left in it.

Very deep color - certainly inky. As other commenter said, earth and oak stand out big time. Overall an enjoyable glass of wine. Very easy finish.

Color: Dark Violet to Purple Nose: When first opened it had aromas of blackberry, pepper/spice and with a hint of a young wine/underbursh smell. Palate: Just the right amount of dry, crisp and fruity balance of soft tannins which made for well balanced wine. At neighbor's house for summer celebration, they could not remember whether this was the 2nd or 3rd day open, so for that reason, no score. Color cherry red with lots of black hues. A great big jammy bouquet of blackberries, black cherries, some grape Big League Chew, earth and oak.
